Spring. Nature’s testimony of faith.
The sky illuminates in sacred light those places where land and sea meet. What unfolds is a perpetual blessing of grace; a sky set afire by the confluence of what is taking place beneath it. Whether they are aware of it or not that’s why I believe people are so drawn to these places. Beaches feel nice under bare feet but it’s the heart that feels most at home. The give and take of the tides is the living breath of our ancient origins. It stays steady on course and is in perfect rhythm with season and Moon. And with every dawn and dusk a slight opening occurs between this world and the next. Something deep inside rises to meet it. Reaching, hoping and as night falls residing in the peace of the promise of so much more than our circumstances.
Let it all go except for hope. Yep, that one you will want to hold on to.

Rediscovered Era, music I first came upon in 2006.
The power of prayer is not in the granting of wishes or bargaining with God (which is laughable). The power is in the building of faith. There is so much more in surrendering than what could ever be hoped for in obtaining. And here’s what’s really cool - it doesn’t have to occur according to preordained doctrine or within a particular building.
The true meaning of the day is far more peaceful and reverent of both faith and the beauty of nature. In introducing the Christianity to the Celtic tribes of Ireland Saint Patrick strived to find a common bond from which to build upon rather than completely dispel and disassociate the Druids and their followers from their keen sensitivity to the rhythms and ways of all things natural and wild. To attempt to do so is like removing the spirit from the soul. Each would perish without the other. This why Celtic crosses are so beautiful. For me they symbolize the perfect balance. The energy and beauty of both nature and faith are bound together in the circle. It’s powerful. I am thankful and blessed with Celtic heritage, but honestly all those who share in the true spirit of this day are of Celtic background.
Out where the heart wanders. Near the Texas-Oklahoma border.
To be at peace is to simply be who you were meant to be.
