The soul insists on journeys to the gardens of the heart. Somewhere outside the walls we’re constantly building around ourselves resides everything we truly hope for.

“The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls. ” ― John Muir #nature #beauty #spring #hope #naturephotography #muir #grace #soul #spirit #home #latergram

Go forward with a good heart and the way will open up. Sometimes the right path isn’t the easiest or most comfortable but it is worth it. I believe this with all my heart and soul. The ego tempts a defensive posture and pride leads to dead-ends. What is right is fortified not so much in righteousness as it is strengthened through forgiveness - to forgive yourself through the gift of a price that has already been paid.

The picture on the bottom left was drawn by my daughter Emma when she was about three or four years old. Today she turns 14. Despite all my fears and failures I like to think - I believe - that I’m showing her and her sister how to follow what is true within their own hearts and to not be discouraged when misled into the traps of pain that is the untruth of blame, desire and ego. And it’s going to happen. They just need to know there will always be a way out through love and forgiveness.

Arise and let love reach to the other side. There is so much more. O.E.W.

The sky illuminates in sacred light those places where land and sea meet. What unfolds is a perpetual blessing of grace; a sky set afire by the confluence of what is taking place beneath it. Whether they are aware of it or not that’s why I believe people are so drawn to these places. Beaches feel nice under bare feet but it’s the heart that feels most at home. The give and take of the tides is the living breath of our ancient origins. It stays steady on course and is in perfect rhythm with season and Moon. And with every dawn and dusk a slight opening occurs between this world and the next. Something deep inside rises to meet it. Reaching, hoping and as night falls residing in the peace of the promise of so much more than our circumstances.
