November Evening at Burkes Beach by Jim Crotty 7 on Flickr.
Everyday, return to the Eternal. Give back every fear, every blessing. To truly live is to be humbled before God in a constant state of thankfulness. To live in awareness of the gift of the moment. Often we want so badly that which we’ve already been given. We stumble under the illusion that what is experienced can be permanently owned. Simply receive and return. All the fears and doubts too. Let go. Give back. In possessing that which can never be owned - no matter how pleasing to the ego - we also unwittingly take hold of the darker side of the illusion. Peace begins to arrive in the letting go, the forgiveness, the awareness. The only lasting gift begins to be realized. Grace breaks through.

“Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be ? The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.” - Khalil Gibran
